Dolly-Parton

Dolly Parton was born on the 19th of January 1946 at Locust Ridge Tenn. She was raised with twelve other kids. Her imaginative mind was a great way to get away from the harsh realities of everyday life. Before she learned to write or read, she was making up her own songs. Within 8 years she got her first guitar. When she was 11 years old when she was 11, she began singing on Knoxville Tenn's radio station. The following year, she made her first album with Gold Band Records an independent small-scale label. In high school she was able to establish herself within the local community, however her ambition was bigger. When she was graduating in 1964, she relocated to Nashville. Dumb Blonde (1967) and Something Fishy (1968) were her two first charting albums for Monument Records. Porter Wagoner's syndicated TV show required a new singer at around this time. Parton got her first gig in the year 1967 she signed with RCA Records by 1968, and became a member of the Grand Ole Opry. The show was cancelled by Wagoner, however, in 1974 because her solo albums such as Joshua Coat Of Many Colors and Jolene beat out their collaborative albums. The two split in 1974, Parton wrote the song I Will Always Love You for Wagoner and it climbed to No. First time, in 1974.
