Amber Benson bio
Amber Benson is an American actress singer writer director and producer. She is most well-known for playing Tara Maclay from the TV series Buffy the Vampire Slayer. Benson has also directed her own films Chance, Lovers Liars & Lunatics and played the lead actress in them. Additionally, she was the bride in the Kiss the Bride movie. Benson was born on January 8, 1977 in Birmingham Alabama, daughter of Diane Benson and Edward Benson psychiatrist. Danielle is her sister, and is an artist. The father of her is Jewish while her mother raised Southern Baptist Benson grew up at the Reform synagogue located in Alabama. Benson's acting career has continued to flourish after the conclusion of Buffy. She appeared in films like The Killing Jar, and shows like Morganville The Series. In the background, she put her writing skills into The Ghosts of Albion series and was the director on shows like The Killing Jar in 2010 and Drones. Buffy, after spending hours and efforts to find them, says there are around 1800 Slayers around the world, including 500 of them working with the Scooby Gang.
