Rickards was cast on March 14, 2014, in the role of Kristen Rose - the sister to Dakota (Haley Ramm) as the lead character of Cowgirls 'n Angels. Film was premiered during in the Dallas International Film Festival. She played a role as the support character in Brooklyn, whose film was nominated to win an Oscar. [14] In 2016 she appeared in Slumber in the year 2016, which starred Darby Stanchfield and Meaghan Rth. Los Angeles was the location for filming in May 2016. Axis is the second film in which she appeared. [16] The film won the award for outstanding achievement, for feature films at the 2017 Newport Beach Film Festival. Also, she was a part in the superhero-themed short film Sidekick produced by Arrowverse alum Jeff Cassidy. The year 2017 was the first time she starred as a character in Funny Story. It was a runner up in the Slamdance film Festival's Beyond program in January 2018.[21[21] It was awarded many prizes which included the Stolman Audience Award for the Best American Independent Film during the 2018 Sonoma International Film Festival. (23rd) Vero Beach Wine and Film Festival audience award for best feature. Rickards was awarded the top actress award at Southampton International Film Festival. She appeared with James Maslow in We Need to Talk[27] in May 2019. The film was directed and written by Todd Wolfe. It was an official selection for the FirstGlance Film Festival in Philadelphia, in November 2020[28] and Rickards was recognized as the best actress in a feature
